Flame kick werewolves, perform thrilling acrobatic stunts, and run a trillion dollar mining company in Riverman Media’s combat-action masterpiece!

From the creators of the award-winning “Pizza Vs. Skeletons” comes The Executive: a fast-paced, cinematic, martial arts action game designed from the ground up for iPhone and iPad. You are the CEO of a company that has been infiltrated by werewolves, and it’s your job to save your employees, and eventually the entire city, from their dastardly schemes.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU: No ads. No getting suckered into buying more stuff later. The whole game, for one price, for all updates, forever.

The Executive combines a high-speed combat system, timing-based running and platforming, 120 hand-crafted levels, a full inventory of moves and upgrades, and a simple mining company simulation for earning money, all into one cohesive experience. The fighting engine evokes a cross between Street Fighter II and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, with controls designed from scratch to be ideal for touch screens. The platforming (or “stunt”) segments require precise timing, similar to Elite Beat Agents but with an emphasis on visual timing instead of musical rhythm. Both of these mechanics are brought together by the SP bar, which allows you to execute gesture-based special moves like flame kicks, health restoration, and even morphing your character’s arm into a silver spike to impale foes.

The Executive uses Riverman Media’s proprietary animation system to bring to life its large, hand-drawn 2D sprites with an unprecedented amount of smoothness and detail. The Executive represents the pinnacle of Riverman Media’s research and development into new 2D graphics technology.

Pros and cons of The Executive app for iPhone and iPad

The Executive app good for

This is, by far, one of the best iOS games in the App Store, PERIOD!! The controls are spot on, the pacing is great, and the upgrades are awesome!! Theres 3 sections (Intern, Manager, & Executive) that will have you scrambling to beat enemies & find their weaknesses. This game starts out easy & gets progressively challenging but IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!! The best part? After you buy it, theres no ads or IAP BS!! This is it! And it couldnt be better! On a side note, the music is surprisingly smooth and definitely meshes well. Why are you still reading this? Buy the game already!!
Amazing game here. - Crazy Original Theme - Brilliant and quirky character designs - Combat is very accessible but has robust depth - Great enemy variety all with their own tactics - Platforming segments help break up the combat - Awesome RPG elements - Great animation and graphics
This is an awesome game. Thats it. I payed 5 bucks for this game and it was worth every penny. First things first, if youre worried there wont be many levels, there absolutely are! There are 30+ levels in each class, you move up from inter to manager and so on. Second, a few tips that will help you out if you do decide to buy the game Ill list below: 1. Make sure you have the shield spell as soon as possible, its very helpful in later levels. 2. When trying to beat a boss (depending on which one) you need to make sure to focus on blocking and attacking instead of just firing off as many attacks as you can, youll lose every time. 3. Getting the penetrate spell while fighting bosses will give you the upper hand from the beginning. Thats about it, this is a really fun game, and you really do have to pay attention and learn the moves to be able to beat all the bosses. Its not just a tap and win game.
This is definitely worthy of the hype. I will warn you though, the controls take some getting used to, but once you have them down(ish), youll be killing werewolves like a pro. Not to mention the magic system is a nice touch, as well as the business system. A nice and very welcome addition to the classic side scrolling beat-em-up. Definite must have.
I fell in love with Pizza vs Skeletons. Its still one of the best games ever on the platform. And now they have released this game that they have been teasing for years. Its everything it was hyped up to be. Beautiful hand drawn artwork, deep and satisfying combat, ridiculousness theme and a meta game on building up your company that is a very fun game on its own.
I found this to be surprisingly fun. Picked it up off a favourable review on toucharcade, and its hooked me. I dont know why some complain about the price, its still less than a fancy coffee at Starbucks

Some bad moments

Its playing with my nerves. For this kind of game, commands need to be very responsive, this is not the case here. Enemies are too strong, upgrades are too expensive.
Nice stylized graphics albeit stiff movements. Kick, punch, block and swipe through stuff. Other than that thats pretty much it. Worth the $0.99 on sale, not the full price. Too simplistic of a game.
Seems like it would be a fun game if only it didnt keep crashing on my iPhone 6s+.
Im sure it will appeal to some, but its pretty dumb overall. And kinda expensive.
Fighting mechanics barely even work. Pizza vs Skeletons was way better, and I mean it when I say that.
Theres a game breaking bug 25% into the game that prevents you from moving further.
